Preschool Dino Fun!

Day Two of our Dinosaur fun!!!
This project is my new FAVORITE!!!  Magic Painting!  I colored dinosaur bones on white paper with a white crayon.  The kids then painting using homemade watercolor paints.  BOOM!  A fossil print appears!!

Homemade watercolor paints can easily be made using water and food coloring.

The next thing we did was color and cut a dino puzzle.  Then they pasted it together.  To make it go along with number recognition, I added numbers to the puzzle pieces.

Along with playing in the sand making fossils and dino foot prints we also decided to try making them in playdoh.

Showing this with playdoh really helped them understand what a fossil is..the impression of an object.
